There’s nothing like the feeling of curling up in a fuzzy blanket and staying warm as the winter months go by. But, often we wake up to the cold reality of the importance of skincare. From dry skin patches, to oiliness, to tracking in mud from the great outdoors on a walk, pets seem to experience it all. Eventually, bad odors start to emit from their fur, and usually that’s the cue for most that it’s definitely time for a bath!
Scooter, pictured above with his cute little basket, had experienced dry skin patches this winter, and lots of itching, pulling at his own fur, oiliness, and bad odor. I knew that he desperately needed some freshening up with a good shampoo and conditioner. Before giving Scooter a shower, I made sure to trim his nails, because not only is it easy to get scratched, but he always wants to hop up on my shoulders and cling during most bath, or shower times, and not stay in the tub.
For Scooter’s shower, we used the ZYMOX: Shampoo, and the ZYMOX: Conditioning Rinse. Both are perfect for itch relief, dry, and inflamed skin, and can be used for all pets of any age.
ZYMOX: Shampoo
Once I had gotten Scooter settled into the tub, I took the shower head down to give him a good rinse with water. Then, I used the ZYMOX: Shampoo, which is pictured above with a clear swatch beside it on the right. I used about a little more than a quarter-sized amount of shampoo to lather on his fur from Scooter’s neck to tail, and then his belly and legs. Lastly, I took whatever was left, of the product already lathered, and worked it in towards the top of his head, ears, and under his chin, and then waited about three minutes before I rinsed everything off with water.

Next, I used the ZYMOX: Conditioning Rinse to follow up after the shampoo. One of the unique things about this particular conditioner, is that it’s a leave-on formula. So, after rinsing off the shampoo, I massaged the conditioner onto Scooter’s fur.

Scooter looking like a show cat! His fur was so soft, glossy, and better yet, he smelled amazing!
After using both the ZYMOX: Shampoo, and the ZYMOX: Conditioning Rinse, Scooter hasn’t been itching, nor has he been pulling out his fur, which was such a big issue for the longest time. His coat looks beautiful and glossy, his fur is so soft, he smells good, and he looks like a whole new cat!
