I’ve always been the kind of person to buy one wallet and keep it for years and years until it is literally falling apart. In the past, wallets have never seemed like something I should invest in. I would buy wallets that were trendy and cute, rather than durable. I couldn’t justify buying an expensive wallet for the longest time. It wasn’t until I was purchasing a birthday gift for my Mom earlier this year that I accidentally ordered two of the same wallet, because the confirmation number hadn’t gone through the first time. About twenty minutes later, my e-mail notified me that I had two separate orders for the same wallet, and because they were on sale, it was a final purchase.
Let me just tell you, even though it was a bit of a splurge, accidentally investing in this wallet was the best thing to happen. My previous wallet, which was well-loved from Charming Charlie had a broken zipper, and the outside was starting to wear and tear, so this new wallet came just in time.
There are several times a year that Kate Spade offers 30% off sale items on their online website, so checking often is definitely the key to scoring a good deal. At the time I bought the Adalyn wallet in pink confetti, it was already discounted, so with the 30% off on top of that, it ended up being about $44.00 which was a good price for a durable leather wallet.
The Adalyn is an extremely multi-functional wallet. Usually, I’m used to the kind of wallets that have the basic bill-fold, coin pouch, and card slots, but this exceeded my expectations. On the side of the wallet is a built-in coin pouch where the zipper is, which is fully lined and has space for a decent amount of change. The wallet is held together with a button snap closure, which is excellent for when you’re on the go and don’t want to deal with the hassle of fully zipping a wallet at the checkout.
The inside features six card slots, and the bill fold reaches the full length of the wallet.
And the best surprise of all? The back has a clear slot perfect for a Driver’s License or Student ID. Hidden behind this slot on the side is a pouch where you can stuff any notes, receipts, or extra dollars.
While the Kate Spade: Adalyn wallet is no longer available in the color Pink Confetti, it is available in plenty of other prints and colors in the same model. Definitely keep an eye out for more markdowns and extra sales later, because this is definitely worth investing in!
